RAÍZ – Nunca me fui
Ten years after their first collaboration, RAÍZ returns, the acclaimed musical project that brings together three outstanding voices from the Latin American scene: Lila Downs, Niña Pastori, and Soledad Pastorutti. This return is marked by the release of “Nunca Me Fui,” an EP that promises to take listeners on a musical journey filled with roots, culture, and a fusion of unique styles.
The RAÍZ project originated in 2014 when the three artists decided to unite their talents to create an album that celebrated the cultural diversity of their respective countries: Mexico, Spain, and Argentina. The result was a resounding success, with an album that won the Latin Grammy Award for Best Folk Album and became an essential work of the genre.
Downs, known for her ability to blend traditional Mexican music with contemporary influences, Pastori, a central figure in modern flamenco, and Soledad, one of the most powerful voices in Argentine folklore, found in “Raíz” a space to explore and share their musical identities.
“Nunca me fui”: A Highly Anticipated Second Chapter
In “Nunca me fui,” the three artists reunite to offer a new collection of songs that, although diverse, are connected by the magical reinvention of their voices. This EP, recorded at the 5020 Studios in Miami, includes both unreleased tracks and new versions of songs from their solo careers.
